MEGAN DU PLESSIS
Megs has loads of confidence to lead her pupils forward.
Her horsemanship skills and knowledge is exceptional with all her experience from teaching since 2003. She has the biggest heart. Especially for animals. Her special needs pupils have come leaps and bounds with their horse riding. Megs is also our yard manager.
She has been at Oakies since 2017.
ZECKS SAMU
Natural Horsemanship Expert
Zecks is a famous horse behaviorist and coach and has travelled globally to teach and train horse and rider. His goal is to build a strong partnership between you and your horse using horse psychology. It is all achieved through communication, understanding the needs of the horse, putting relationship first before competition by laying a strong foundation where you establish the fundamentals first. He also is fantastic in backing young horses. His process has 4 steps:
1.Ground work -teaching a horse on the lead.
2.Liberty -teaching a horse at freedom.
3.Freestyle - riding without reins using body aids to communicate with the horse.
4.Finesse -riding with reins.
My rates are as follows:
R550/hr for regular sessions.
R750/4hrs half day clinic with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants
R1200 /8hrs full day clinic with a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 participants respectively.

HEIKE HARVEY
International Equestrian Coach
A Dressage judge, born in Cologne, Germany and living in SA now. An experienced eventer and a love for dressage. She will take you up the competitive ranks with her
25 years competitive experience in ALL levels from beginner to advanced. Children, juniors and adults all welcome. She specialises in competitive development of horse and rider as well as Non-competitive riders who seek improvement of horse’s flatwork/jumping and his/her own skills for just at home.
